Presenting new Romanian drama in English!

Alina Nelega's "Traffic Jam", translated by Jozefina Komporaly was presented to an enthusiastic Cambridge Junction audience under the direction of Paul Bourne of Menagerie Theatre Company with the help of a dynamic cast of six highly talented actresses: Afia Abusham, Vanessa Akerman, Bethany O'Halloran, Cassandra Hercules, Catherine Walston and Susanna Wolff.

We regret that due to the "air traffic jam" caused by the "digital pandemic", Alina Nelega could not join us for this UK premiere. She was greatly missed but present in spirit.

Thank you, Jozefina, for a great talk and insight into the challenges of translation and the general overview of Alina's work!

We hope this marks the beginning of a partnership that will lead to the development and presentation of many other Romanian plays at this fantastic festival.
