"Pass:ages" Acclaimed Mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose Launches Her Debut Volume

What a delightful afternoon we had celebrating the launch of "Pass:ages", the debut volume of acclaimed mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, just out from Tango Publishing House in the translation of Matthew McMillan.

Opened by RCI London Director Aura Woodward, the event brought together an enthusiastic audience for an afternoon that moved seamlessly between reflection, storytelling and music.

In conversation with celebrated soprano Nelly Miricioiu, translator Matthew McMillan and editor Alice Nastase Buciuta, Ruxandra Donose guided us through the pages of "Pass:ages". Like a series of captivating episodes, the book’s chapters explore life, music, artistic vocation, personal journeys, challenges and triumphs, revealing the experiences and reflections that have shaped an extraordinary life and acclaimed international career.

The afternoon was enriched by magnificent musical interludes, as Ruxandra Donose and her long-term stage partner, pianist Sergiu Tuhuțiu, captivated the audience with performances of extraordinary artistry. Their programme moved us deeply one moment and had us laughing the next, showcasing the full spectrum of expression, sensitivity and wit that characterises great music-making and enduring artistic friendship.

Warmly received throughout, the event concluded with standing ovations for all the protagonists. Many thanks to the guest speakers and artists, to our partners at Inimile vorbesc românește for this wonderful collaboration and to all of you who chose to spend part of a glorious summer weekend with us.

Big thanks to Alex Coman for these great shots!
