LIFE & LOVE, a performance of poetry and live music by actor Vlad Ivanov and musician Lucian Maxim marked the National Culture of Day of Romania at Romanian Cultural Institute in London. On a bitterly cold day, we were delighted to welcome a full house of people of all ages and backgrounds. Vlad Ivanov - who played in over 50 roles in award-winning films such as Cristian Mungiu’s 4,3,2 - delighted the audience with some of the best-known poems in Romania’s literature and some manuscripts of Eminescu’s poems. Lucian Maxim, as a true wizard of sounds, engaged the audience with instruments from different continents, creating together memorable sounds and textures.
We are grateful to HE Laura Popescu, Romania’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, for her support and to all those who braved the cold to join us for a special night when we celebrated creativity in all its forms. A huge thank you to our wonderful artists!
