Romanian Masters of Music and Poetry
A celebration dedicated to George Enescu and Mihai Eminescu!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful recital at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London - a musical journey through the works of Romanian masters, performed with exceptional sensitivity and mastery by sopranos Rodica Vica and Ilona Sofia Nastase, joined by pianist Andrada Maria Paşcu.
A testament to the power of music and poetry to transcend time, language, and borders, the event was introduced by RCI London deputy director Raluca Ioana Cimpoiasu. The response was overwhelming – the concert hall was brimming and guests overflowed into the corridors and stairways, transforming the entire building into a living concert space.
The programme featured art songs inspired by Mihai Eminescu and George Enescu, including George Enescu’s settings of poems by Carmen Sylva.
A heartfelt thank you to our extraordinary performers, to our partners at Inimile vorbesc românește and to everyone who joined us!
The event was part of the Romanian Cultural Institute in London's 2025 programme at Open House London.
