EUNIC London's In Short, Europe Film Festival: Best of Best
Born in 1987 in Romania, Vladimir Dembinski studied film directing at the National University of Theater and Film in Bucharest. While studying, he directed several short films and documentaries, including "Tennis", his graduation film that has been selected at festivals such as Clermont Ferrand Film Festival or Curtas Vila do Conde. He is currently working on his first feature film script, CRISSEA IV.
In the Name of the Father (2021). In a secluded village in Transylvania, Emma, Jacob's daughter, discovers the lie about her mother's disappearance some time ago. Emma confronts Jacob and the village priest might know something. Emma insists on finding out the truth and in her relationship with Jacob creeps distrust and suspicion.
"In the Name of the Father" / "In the Name of the Father" Vladimir Dembinski's latest short film was screened in the select company of five other productions from Finland, the Faroe Islands, Latvia, Portugal and Switzerland at the 6th EUNIC London editions of the InShortEurope Film Festival: Best of Best 2024.
