Pianist Carmina Sarbu joins us to honour the legacy of her late brother, virtuoso violinist Eugen Sârbu.

It was an evening of reflection and admiration, as we paid tribute to the remarkable musician's talent and dedication to his craft. A heartfelt conversation between Eugen’s sister, pianist Carmina Sarbu, and Aura Woodward, Director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in London, took us on a journey through lesser-known aspects of Eugen Sarbu’s life and career. Through all the shared memories, the audience could access a deeper, more intimate portrait of the man behind the music.

The audience brought together guests from all over Europe, people who knew and loved Eugen Sarbu, including Lady Jane Nicholson. Dear friends and students who could not attend sent messages that were read during the event. Father Silviu-Petre Pufulete conveyed a special message.

We are grateful for this opportunity to remember Eugen Sarbu, his artistry, and the legacy he leaves behind. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable occasion.
