Open the 2024-2025 Season of the Enescu Concerts Series

Wonderful kick off of our 2024-2025 Enescu Concerts Series with a brilliant performance by the award-winning Mithras Trio! Ionel Manciu – violin, Leo Popplewell – cello and Dominic Degavino – piano established Mithras Trio in 2017 and went on to win major accolades and perform on some of the biggest stages in the UK, across Europe and North America. BBC Radio 3 named them, for three consecutive years (2021-2023), “the new generation artists”. For the opening of our new season, they performed works by Anatol Ștefăneț, George Enescu and Franz Schubert with such passion and artistry.
Romanian Cultural Institute in London honours the legacy of Romania’s great composer, George Enescu, with an annual programme of eight concerts, which start in October and conclude in June, the following year. They are generally held on the first Thursday of each month.
Last Thursday, we were once again thrilled to have our wonderful audience with us. Thank you for joining us and filling the room with your energy and appreciation.
