About the event
Twenty years. Thousands of events. Countless artists, ideas, encounters and unforgettable moments. And one big reason to celebrate!
Since 2006, the Romanian Cultural Institute in London has brought Romanian culture to the heart of the UK’s cultural scene, building bridges between countries, artists, cultural hubs and audiences, and creating space for bold ideas, new voices and extraordinary encounters. Along the way, the Institute has welcomed distinguished guests and members of the British and Romanian Royal Families, including His Majesty King Charles III, whose visits have marked memorable moments in our story and underscored the enduring cultural ties between Romania and the United Kingdom.
From music, literature and film to visual arts, theatre and thought-provoking conversations, we’ve spent two decades sparking curiosity and putting Romanian creativity centre stage. Now, it’s time to look back, turn up the volume and celebrate everything we’ve achieved -together!
PAST FORWARD: 20 Years of Romanian Culture…
