About the event
The Romanian Cultural Institute in London, in collaboration with the Embassy of Romania in the United Kingdom and Aqua Carpatica, is organising an event on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, dedicated to the UK theatrical release of The Yellow Tie, a feature film inspired by the life and artistic journey of renowned Romanian conductor Sergiu Celibidache.
The event will take place at the RCI London headquarters at 1 Belgrave Square and will take the form of a conversation with Serge Ioan Celebidachi, Sergiu Celibidache’s son and the film’s director and co-writer, and Adela Vrînceanu Celebidachi, the film’s producer and Serge Celebidachi’s wife.
The two guests will share personal experiences and insights into the making of this ambitious cinematic project and discuss the process of bringing Sergiu Celibidache’s story to the big screen. The conversation will be moderated by Mara Crăcăleanu, a young Romanian filmmaker based in London, and will be followed…
