THE ENDLESS COLUMN. Daniel Ciobanu - A Sonic Vision of Brâncuși

We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed pianist Daniel Ciobanu back to London, with an immersive multimedia recital honouring Constantin Brâncuși, one of the most visionary sculptors of the twentieth century, on the 150th anniversary of his birth. Presented as part of our Enescu Concert Series, this is the 5^th event in the Romanian Cultural Institute in London’s Brâncuși 150 Season.

More than a musical tribute, The Endless Column is an artistic journey into the inner world of Brâncuși - a world in which ancient simplicity meets radical modernity, material becomes meaning, and form is distilled to its very essence. Rather than illustrating Brâncuși’s sculptures through music or retracing the sculptor’s life chronologically, Ciobanu constructs a dialogue between sound, image and idea.
