About the event

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London is delighted to partner with the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and fellow EUNIC members in supporting “Fluid Futures: Recalibrating Land and History in Global Eastern Europe”, a one-day international symposium bringing together artists, curators, and researchers to explore the cultural, ecological, and political landscapes of Eastern Europe in a global context.

This is a ticketed event, please book HERE.

Location: The Lydia and Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre, V&A South Kensington

The event will examine how photography, moving image, and digital practices contribute to new understandings of the region’s past and present. Through three thematic panels, a keynote lecture, and a film screening, the event will open a dialogue on the ways in which artistic and intellectual practices address histories of State Socialism, post-socialist transformations, and contemporary global challenges.
