Romanian Poetry Celebration at the European Poetry Festival

This summer, we invite you to a vibrant celebration of Romanian poetry at the 9th edition of the European Poetry Festival 2026.

In a dynamic poetry setting, where language becomes performance and verse unfolds in real time, four remarkable poets residing in the UK and Ireland - Simona Nastac, Chris Tănăsescu (MARGENTO), Luminița Amarie and Miruna Fulgeanu - come together to trace the shifting contours of identity and imagination across borders.

Set in the intimate surroundings of the Poetry Café in central London and hosted by The Poetry Society, this special evening is part of the festival’s acclaimed “Camarade” series. Here, the Romanian poets join their British and European counterparts on stage, presenting brand new poetry and specially curated collaborative performances.
