The Romanian Cultural Institute in London is proud to celebrate the historic debut of the internationally acclaimed Romanian-British pianist Alexandra Dariescu at the BBC Proms, one of the world's most prestigious classical music festivals, held annually at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall.
Recognised for her expressive artistry, dazzling virtuosity, and commitment to championing underrepresented voices in classical music, Alexandra Dariescu has established herself as one of the most distinguished pianists of her generation. She will take to the Proms stage alongside The Hallé Orchestra, under the baton of acclaimed conductor Kahchun Wong, performing the Proms premiere of Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra by the celebrated French composer Nadia Boulanger.
