About the event
Romania’s 16th participation at the London Book Fair (LBF) takes shape as a programme about distance, movement and literary belonging. Comprising book launches, literary conversations and debates, this year’s curatorial focus follows Romanian literature as it is written, translated and published across geographies, languages and lived experiences of migration and return.
From book launch events at Hatchards Piccadilly and Waterstones to discussions on writing, translation and publishing, the programme highlights authors, poets, editors and translators whose work unfolds between countries and cultures, echoing the idea that memory and identity can translate as a foreign country of their own.
