We are proud to partner with the Inimile vorbesc românește Association to present to our British and Romanian audiences alike the brand-new English translation of acclaimed mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose's debut volume, "Pass:ages", published by Tango Publishing House and translated by Matthew McMillan. The author and translator will be joined in conversation by renowned soprano Nelly Miricioiu. Moderator: editor Alice Năstase Buciuta.
"Pass:ages" is a collection of short, contemporary texts written by Ruxandra Donose - first as part of the Facebook project Real Fictions (Ficțiuni reale) and later continued independently in a surprisingly rich thematic development. The work reflects the life of a writer who travels, sings, meditates, and observes the world; living abroad, she transforms her longing for home into remarkable artistic forms.
