New Perspectives on the Holocaust: the Case of Transnistria

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London, in partnership with the Embassies of Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the United Kingdom, invite you to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a profound and thought-provoking event dedicated to the memory of those who suffered during one of history’s darkest chapters. 

The event features an engaging discussion exploring the deportations of Jewish and Roma people to Transnistria in the company of prominent professors Marius Turda, Director of the Centre for Medical Humanities, Oxford Brookes University and Igor Cașu, Director of the National Archives Agency of the Republic of Moldova. The conversation will be chaired by Professor Dan Stone, Director of the Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London. Opening remarks by H.E. Laura Popescu, the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom and H.E. Ruslan Bolbocean, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the United Kingdom.
