In 2026, marking 150 years since the birth of Constantin Brâncuși, a founding figure of modern sculpture, we dedicate a special season of events to his life and work. The fourth event in the Brâncuși 150 series is presented in association with the celebrated London Philharmonic Orchestra and forms part of the orchestra’s acclaimed Debut Sounds programme, which showcases new music by emerging composers.

Inspired by Brâncuși’s artistic vision and his pursuit of “the inner, hidden reality” of things, LPO commissioned five young composers to create new orchestral works that respond to some of the sculptor’s most celebrated creations and ideas.
