About the event
Among the most innovative voices of European modernism, Romanian-born German-language poet, Holocaust survivor and translator Paul Celan inspired countless creatives across multiple mediums and generations.
To mark his 105th birth anniversary, we invite you to join us for the Private View of Atemkristall (Breathcrystal), a major art exhibition exploring the profound impact of Celan’s poetry through the lens of contemporary art. Works on paper exploring themes like walking, language and otherness will bring Romanian and British artists in dialogue with his writings.
